Regular Slotted Carton (RSC)
The RSC can be used for a variety of products and is the most common
box style. All flaps have the same length and the
two outer flaps normally the lengthwise flaps) are
one-half the container's width, so they meet at the center of the
box when folded. If the product requires a flat, even
bottom surface, a fill-in pad can be placed between
the two inner flaps.
Design Style Tray (DST)
A design style tray is similar to an OPF: both are generally flat
and square. However, a DST has flaps on the sides
and the ends that are folded and fastened to
produce a tray. DSTs are also often used as lids for
HSCs. Typical applications: shipping heavy flat items, re-usable
storage container. Please note: flaps must be taped,
glued or stapled.
Full Overlap Carton (FOL)
This style is especially resistant to rough handling. Stacked
on its bottom panel, the overlapping flaps provide
added cushioning. All flaps have the same length
(the width of the box). When closed, the outer flaps come within one
inch of complete overlap.
Flat Pads
Pads are plain shapes of corrugated or solid fiberboard. They can be
used to fill the space between the inner flaps of a
Regular Slotted Container (RSC), to completely
cover the bottom or top of the box, or to separate layers of
product.Vertically, they can be used to separate partitions
